Gratitude
Gratitude is probably the most important emotion we can experience. When we are feeling grateful or appreciative we are closer to our “inner source” than at any other time.
Have you ever made a conscious effort to list the things you are grateful for? There may be some of you that are worried about your health or the health of a loved one, or perhaps you have concerns about money. We all have issues in our lives, but at the same time we all have something to be grateful for. Maybe it’s the fact that you have the vision to enable you to read this. Perhaps it’s that you do not have to sleep in the streets.
I encourage you to make a list of everything and everyone in your life that makes it a better place to be. Then each morning as you start your day, preferably before you even get out of bed, think of at least one of those people/things on your list and let your day revolve around that person/thing. Each time that you check the time, remind yourself what you are grateful for. The next day choose something or someone else off your list. Do this each and everyday, and each and every time that you look at a clock or watch, remember to be grateful. This will become second nature in no time at all. Remember, you have to give to receive and what goes around comes around.
